Icarus Models will only be liable for the direct loss up to a maximum total price of the product purchased in respect of any claim. We reserve the right to change information or specifications at any time. Weights and sizes are approximate.
Where manufacturing defects are concerned Icarus Models reserves the right to consult the manufacturers/distributors of their products. In conjunction with the manufacturer or distributor we will attempt to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. We advise that all manufacturers' instructions must be strictly complied with when using any items. Failure to do so will invalidate any warranty and possibly be dangerous to you or other persons. Please read very carefully all terms and conditions relating to any product before using it.
Ordering
By submitting your order you are entering into a legal contract with us to buy the goods. We will use your personal details for the purposes of supplying the goods you have ordered and this includes passing them onto the courier as a third party in order to supply your goods. Your details will not be passed onto any other parties or used for any other purposes. We do not keep your credit card details on record, you will need to re-supply them each time you order an item from us. Icarus Models retains ownership of all goods until we receive payment in full from your nominated account. Our website information is regularly checked and updated, if necessary, but due to variations in currencies, prices often go up or down. If we are unable to supply the goods at the price shown we will contact you to see if you wish to go ahead with the order. Your order may be delayed if the product is not in stock and we regret we cannot always provide exact delivery dates on out of stock items. The Icarus Models website will be updated to show availability as soon as the item arrives.
Delivery
Icarus Models do not have a minimum or maximum postage amount however items over 30 kgs will be charged as multiple shipments. To ensure your parcel is protected against loss or damage we dispatch most items by Courier or Royal Mail First Class Recorded. All small items are posted in bubble wrapped bags/small boxes. Kits or larger/heavy items are sent via our courier service, which is insured up to £500 per item.
Our Courier and Royal Mail aims to deliver within 2 days (weekdays only). Saturday or Express delivery can be arranged at an additional cost, please contact us for details. Delivery time begins when the order is passed to the courier company or Posted. Handling and packing time will normally be 1 working day. Express delivery is normally next day, although due to circumstances beyond our or the Couriers/Royal Mail control this cannot be guaranteed. Goods should be inspected when you receive them for defects or damage. If the packaging is damaged please inform the courier at the time of delivery. If you find a defective or damaged item please inform us as soon as possible. The courier company will take all reasonable steps to deliver the parcel, but if this is not possible it will be returned to us. If you have any special requirements to help your delivery please let us know.
Delivery Addresses
Please note: We can only ship to the address provided by you. Please ensure your details are correct before you place the order. We cannot be held responsible for incorrect address details. ie; moved house, changed name etc.
Cancellation of Order and Returns
As a consumer you have the right in addition to your other rights, to cancel the contract and receive a refund. You must inform us in writing within seven working days, starting on the day the goods are delivered to you, of your wish to return the goods. You must return the goods to us at your own cost or you may ask us to arrange collection, which will be chargeable. The goods must be unopened and in new condition, with all packaging present. We shall refund the total amount of money paid by you for the goods, less any costs we may have incurred for collection.
In the unlikely event of you receiving a faulty item, please contact us in writing (not email) or via telephone in the first instance, in case the issue can be resolved. Please ensure goods are returned in original packaging and are in original condition. We will not accept any items for warranty claims that have been misused, damaged, dismantled or modified in any way. ESC's which have had wires cut or shortened or receiver plugs cut or removed will not be warranted!
Please note: You are responsible for ensuring the goods are returned to us safely, we recommend sending returns by 1st class recorded post (this includes up to £28 insurance) or by Special Delivery if the goods are valued between £28 and £500. We cannot be held liable for goods lost in transit. We cannot collect parcels which have been left at the P.O. sorting office due to the customer not paying enough postage. Such parcels will be returned to sender unopened by ourselves. VERY IMPORTANT: If any product is returned to us as 'faulty' and subsequently found NOT to be defective or has been damaged as a direct result of incorrect use, misuse or poor maintenance a workshop surcharge of £10 will be incurred, as will returned postage. Goods found not to be faulty will NOT be returned to the customer until the surcharge payment has been completed.
Lithium Batteries:
Please read lithium battery user guidelines supplied with each lithium battery BEFORE use. If you do not agree with these terms please return battery (in line with the returns policy above) for a full refund before use.
Payments:
All on-line transactions are via a SECURE SSL SERVER using the secure PAYPAL system. You do not need a PAYPAL account as you can also buy instantly and securely with your credit card through the on line PAYPAL system. We will ship goods as soon as payment clears or TELEPHONE your order and pay using your CREDIT/DEBIT CARD - WE ACCEPT ALL MAJOR CARDS!
